Do you have a lot of junk you need to get rid of? Perhaps you own a construction contracting business and are working on a new project. You might have a lot of leftover scraps of wood and other materials to get rid of. Or you may simply be in the middle of a big spring cleaning on your home, and have tons and tons of junk you neither need, nor wish to throw away. Perhaps you are clearing out your basement for refurbishment, or clearing out a storage space to refashion it into an office.

Regardless of what you’re doing, you have two general options for getting rid of your junk. The first is to rent a bin. Once you have the bin, you can throw all of your junk into it until it gets full, at which point you’d pick up and remove the junk. The second option is to have someone do all of the junk removal for you. Instead of renting a bin, they will bring a bin to put all of your junk in.

So, which of these options are for you? Before making a decision, heed these four points. Let us go through them so that you can make an informed decision based on your specific needs.

The first thing to consider is time. Do you have the time to get rid of your junk on your own? If you are a very busy person, it might be better to hire someone do all of the junk removal for you. It is worth spending a little extra money for a junk removal service, even if only to free up your time. After all, time is more valuable than money. Own it and use it to work on your business or do things that matter to you more. If, on the other hand, you have free time and you do not mind using it to clear up your storage space, basement, or whatever, there’s no harm renting a bin to do all of the work yourself.

The second thing to consider is manpower. Are you able to do all of the lifting by yourself? If you are, great for you. If, on the other hand, you’re not up for all the heavy-lifting, then you have to consider your options. If you own a business, are your employees available to help you remove the junk? Maybe they can, or maybe you want them to work on more important stuff. Hire a removal service instead.
