A simple how to on how you can donate your junk and how you can feel good doing it.

With the holiday season coming to an end and the 2015 New Year fast approaching, it is a time to reflect on all of the good that we have in our lives and get cracking on those New Year’s resolutions. So… that sofa you’re throwing away because you just scored an ultra deal at IKEA on Boxing Day? Don’t throw it away as garbage just to have it disposed of at a dump, instead, donate it! Yes, donate it. So many of us are unclear on the items that we can donate but you would not believe how many things we neglect that serve practical use for others. Donations are a great way to give items that you no longer require but others do. It’s a great feeling and did I mention it’s free… that beautiful word. Some organizations even save you the hassle of dropping it off yourself and will arrange a pickup right from your home or area of work free of charge. Oh, and get this, The Salvation Army provides you with a receipt that can be used for tax purposes. It ‘s a win-win for both parties.
